- sifted all-purpose flour
- cocoa
- salt
- cooking vegetable oil(not olive)
- vinegar
- vanilla
- cold water
- baking soda
- sugar
Put sifted flour back in sifter,add to it the cocoa, baking soda, salt, and sugar; sift this into a greased square cake pan, about 9 by 9 by 2 inches.
Now you make three holes or grooves into the dry mixture. Into one you pour the oil; into the next the vinegar; into the last the vanilla. Now pour the cold water over it all.
Using a fork or spoon stir or beat until nearly smooth and you no longer see the flour.
Bake it at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes. Cake should feel spongy
Frost as desired.
