- 2 pounds ground meat(85%lean)
- 1 cup diced swiss cheese
- 2 large eggs,lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 cup plain bread crumbs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
Lightly grease botton of an 8 or 9 inch square pan.
In a large bowl add ingredients in order listed.
Mix with hands or large spoon till blended. Do not over handle.
Mixture should be sticky and soft. Put into pan. Cook for and hour then smear top with a light coating of ketchup.
Cook for an additional 30 mintues. It should be cursty.
Remove from oven and carefully drain liquid from meat. Put on warmed plate or serve in pan.
Only meat loaf I've ever made
