- olive oil
- grated parmesan
- pine nuts or walnuts
- chopped garlic
- salt
- black pepper
- basil leaves washed dried and packed in cup
Coarsely shread basil leaves in large blender or food processor.
Add salt, pepper, nuts, garlic, and cheese.
Begin blending slowly, gradually pouring oil in mixture. Occassionally stop the blender to stir with wooden spoon. When all ingredients are blended pesto is completed.
Use one tablespoon per pound of pasta. Taste for strength.
