- Velveta brand cheese
- butter
- salt
- black pepper
- small elbow pasta
- can evaporated milk
Prepare cheese sauce
Reserve 4 slices of cheese, cut the rest into chunks
Using a double boiler, set to high heat, boil water in bottom part put second pot over top, add milk, butter, cheese, salt, and pepper.
Cook till butter and cheese have melted.
Check bottom half, if most of the water has boiled away add hot water.
Cook pasta according to directions being careful to cook it al denta, do not over cook.
In an oven proof casserole dish mix the cooked pasta with the cheese sauce.
Cut the cheese slices in half diagonally and arrange on top.
Cook in oven for 30 minutes or till sauce bubbles and top looks crusty.
